Lootboxen, deren Gewinne Handelsgüter sein können, sind glücksspielzulassungspflichtig
Die niederländische Glücksspielaufsichtsbehörde hat im Rahmen einer Studie herausgearbeitet, dass 4 von 10 untersuchten PC- und Konsolengames unzulässige Lootboxen (wir berichteten) enthalten. Sobald in Spielen durch kostenpflichtige Lootboxen zufällige Items mit echtem Geldwert ausgeworfen werden, unterliegen diese Spiele dem Glücksspielrecht. Mit diesen Gegenständen könnten die Spieler dann nämlich Handel treiben.
